Is Predicts10 really free to play?
Yes, completely. No entry fee, no in-game purchases, no premium tier - ever. Prizes are currently funded by Predicts10, with advertising planned to support the site and future prizes.
When do predictions lock?
Each prediction locks the moment its fixture kicks off. You can change your mind as many times as you like before then, but once the match starts, that scoreline is final.
What happens if I miss a gameweek?
Nothing bad happens to your account - you just don't score any points for the fixtures you didn't predict. There's no penalty, and you can jump straight back in the following gameweek.
How does scoring work?
You get 10 points for calling the exact scoreline, 3 points for getting the correct result (win/draw/loss) with the wrong score, and 0 points for a wrong result. Full details are on How It Works.
What's the Golden Result?
Once a week, you can mark one prediction as your Golden Result. If it comes in, you score double points on that pick - 20 for an exact score or 6 for a correct result. Choose your Golden Result before the first fixture of the gameweek kicks off. Once that first match starts, your Golden Result cannot be changed.
What happens if two players tie?
We use a set of tiebreakers - total accuracy across all games, most exact scores, most correct results, most correct draws, most correctly-called upsets, both teams to score, win to nil, then golden fixture accuracy. If players are still perfectly tied after all of that, the prize is split. Full step-by-step rules are on How It Works.
How and when are prizes paid?
Winners are contacted by email - we aim to be in touch within 24 hours of the final fixture in the prize period finishing - and we aim to pay out within 14 days by UK bank transfer. For the time being, due to security concerns and additional fees associated with PayPal and international bank transfers, we only send prizes to UK bank accounts. We'll only ever contact you from contact@predicts10.co.uk.
Do I pay tax on my winnings?
Generally, prize winnings from a free-to-enter competition like this aren't treated as taxable income for the winner in the UK. That said, we're not tax advisors - if you're ever unsure, it's worth a quick check with a professional.
What's Last Man Standing, and how is it different from Predict?
It's a separate knockout side game - each round you pick one team to win, survive if you're right, and you're out if you're wrong (or it's a draw). You can only pick each team once across the whole competition. Last player standing wins £100.
What happens in Last Man Standing if everyone gets knocked out in the same round?
If every remaining player picks a losing team in the same round (a total wipeout), the whole pool is eliminated together and that cycle ends with no winner. Entries then stay closed until we manually open a fresh pool, so keep an eye out rather than expecting it to reopen automatically.
What happens if a match is postponed or abandoned?
In Predict, any prediction on that fixture is void - it won't score points either way. In Last Man Standing, you're safe for that round and free to pick that team again in a later round.
Can I join Last Man Standing at any time?
Only before the first round locks - once picks are underway, entries close for that pool. If you miss it, you can join the waitlist and we'll email you when the next pool opens.
Can I have more than one account?
No - it's one account per person. Accounts found to be duplicates, or colluding with other players to manipulate results, may be banned and forfeit any prizes.
Which leagues can I predict on?
Currently the Premier League, with more leagues on the way. Prize money currently applies to Premier League predictions only.
